New York Unclaimed Property (Subscribe)
The State of New York is holding over $7 billion in unclaimed assets, including abandoned bank accounts, uncollected stock dividends, forgotten checks and lost securities. Each year, more than $300 million in property is added to this total. The good news is that nearly $100 million is claimed by people like you every year.
Search the official New York Unclaimed Funds database by entering your own name or the name of your business.
If your name matches something in the database, the system will display it, and you can click on a link to fill out and submit a claim form. Narrow your search results by entering your LAST NAME (space) FIRST NAME (space) MIDDLE INITIAL (or name of business) from 2 to 35 characters and adding a CITY of residence (up to 19 characters).
The official database does not always contain all abandoned property accounts. Unclaimed property reports are filed throughout the year, and accounts are posted to the database weekly.
Return to this site often to search for unclaimed property.
